The WPU Office of Guidance and Counseling (OGC) conducted a Peer Facilitator Training Workshop, equipping students with essential leadership skills to support peers in mental health, academics, and student life. Held as part of the university’s continuing student support initiatives, the activity reflects WPU’s commitment to making a difference within the campus community. This initiative empowers students to become compassionate listeners and supportive allies, fostering a safe space where peers feel heard, valued, and supported through life’s challenges.

The workshop focused on active listening, problem-solving, and leadership skills, turning participants into effective peer facilitators. Through interactive discussions and guided activities, students were able to practice these skills in real-life scenarios. By investing in student leaders, WPU promotes a stronger, more supportive campus community—one that prioritizes empathy, connection, and shared responsibility.
