Guided by the university’s vision and mission and anchored in its core values, the Western Philippines University (WPU) – Health Services Office continues to play a vital role in promoting the well-being of the entire WPU community.

As a support unit open to all students, faculty, and staff, it provides accessible health-care services along with information and education programs that promote awareness and healthy lifestyles. At the heart of its mission is the commitment to health promotion and disease prevention. Through proactive programs, the office not only addresses immediate health concerns but also helps build a healthier and more informed university population.
Its key services include pre-enrollment, pre-employment, and annual medical and dental examinations, as well as medical clearance for both in-campus and off-campus activities. The office also provides general consultation and treatment for everyday health concerns. In times of urgency, first aid and emergency treatment are readily available, supported by a medical emergency response team composed of health professionals and trained WPU students.

The office also conducts outreach initiatives such as bloodletting activities to promote voluntary blood donation and support community health needs. Dental services are likewise offered to further ensure the well-being of students and staff. To strengthen accessibility, the Health Services Office conducts regular campus visits, ensuring that health services remain responsive and within reach of the university community. Through these initiatives, the WPU – Health Services Office continues to uphold its commitment to a safe, healthy, and supportive environment—proving that care in WPU extends beyond the classroom.
