October 27, 2025 – The Western Philippines University Persons with Disability  Organization (PWDO), Main Campus, recently conducted an awareness campaign to promote understanding, respect, and inclusion of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs). The activity highlighted the importance of addressing bullying and discrimination within the university community.

As part of the initiative, organization members distributed informative brochures to fellow students to raise awareness about the experiences and rights of persons with disabilities and encourage empathy, understanding, and respectful treatment of everyone, regardless of ability.

The activity was made possible through the participation and support of WPU students, whose involvement helped advance the campaign’s message of inclusivity. The organization also expressed its heartfelt appreciation to its adviser, Mr. Romeo L. Lerom, for his guidance and continued support in carrying out the initiative.

Through this campaign, the WPU-PWD Organization reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment where every student is valued and respected. The initiative also highlighted the importance of collective action in challenging discrimination, promoting equal treatment, and building a university community grounded in compassion and solidarity.

The organization extends its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the activity and hopes to continue strengthening awareness and advocacy for the rights, dignity, and empowerment of persons with disabilities at WPU.
