SAS Goals, Objectives and Philosophy

Goals

  • Improved and expanded student services and provided opportunities for development of talents and skills.
  • Conducted activities and participated in green initiatives among students of the university.
  • Expanded participation of students in research and extension activities

Objectives

  • Provide balanced co- curricular activities of the different student groups that provide opportunities for the students to actualize their abilities as responsible and productive leaders and citizens;
  •  Ensure proper balance between rights of educational institutions and rights of students;
  •  Promote access to quality, relevant, efficient and effective student affairs and services.

Philosophy

The student is:

  • the most important person on the campus, without students there would be no need for our office or this institution;
  • not a cold enrollment statistic, but a flesh and blood human being with feelings and emotions like our own;
  • not someone to be tolerated so that we can do our thingThey are our thing;
  • not dependent on us. Rather, we are dependent on them;
  • not an interruption of our work, but the purpose of it;
  • We are not doing them favor by serving them.  They are doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so.
