
Vigan City, Ilocos Sur — Mr. Ardie Pinzon, Social Work Department Chair, represented Western Philippines University in the recently concluded International Conference – 77th PASWI National Convention held on October 21–24, 2025.

On October 22, he presented the Professional Development Exchange Program between the Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) and the Social Work Profession Council of Thailand, outlining opportunities for academic cooperation and professional capacity building.

During the same event, Mr. Pinzon, together with Ms. Michell Simyunn, participated in the MOU signing between Western Philippines University, the University of Delhi, and PASWI.
He also took part in a different MOU activity including the partnership agreement among Western Philippines University, the Daegu Council on Social Welfare, the Eurasia Forum of Social Workers, and PASWI.

Another collaboration was also officially formalized among PASWI, WPU, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University – Chiang Mai Campus, and the Social Work Profession Council of Thailand, also represented by the department chair.
Mr. Pizon is also the Focal Person for Institutional Sustainable Development of the Internationalization and External Affairs Office (WPU-IEAO).
