Western Philippines University (WPU) proudly participated in CHED X 2.0: “Building Synergy: Aligning IT Education with Industry”, held on December 4-5, 2024, in Davao City. The event, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and hosted by CHEDRO XI, gathered higher education institutions (HEIs), industry leaders, and IT practitioners from across the country to showcase advancements in technology and education.

WPU highlighted its Automatic Face Recognition Attendance System, leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline attendance monitoring. The system offers a secure, efficient, and innovative solution to traditional methods, aligning with the university’s commitment to integrating modern technology into institutional processes.

This initiative reflects WPU’s active contribution to the MIMAROPA region’s focus on digital transformation and sustainable development, as well as its dedication to aligning education with national and global technological trends.
