Six faculty members from Western Philippines University’s College of Criminal Justice Education (WPU-CCJE) received the Governor’s Gawad Excelencia for Outstanding Service in Criminology and Criminal Justice during the 7th National Criminology, Forensic Science, and Industrial Security Management Student Congress held in Tagaytay City, Cavite. Recognized for their dedication to advancing the welfare of registered criminologists in Palawan and serving their community, the honorees are members and officers of the PCAP Palawan Chapter.
The awardees include Mr. Maphilindo D. Lao (Provincial Chancellor), Ms. Aimee J. Goh (Vice-Chancellor for Internal Affairs), Ms. Marianne B. Mejia (Secretary), Ms. Elvira D. Bersabal (Treasurer), and Public Information Officers Ms. Sheila Lou G. Pili and Mr. Ruben M. Narrazid. They also served as judges during the congress, showcasing their leadership and expertise in criminology.
Additionally, Mr. Lao, also WPU’s Presidential Assistant for Security Affairs, was awarded Lifetime Membership by PCAP for his exemplary leadership and contributions to the organization. The awards reflect WPU-CCJE’s commitment to excellence and community service within and beyond the academic sphere.
