WPU participated in The West Philippine Sea ‘ATIN ITO!’ Mural Painting Competition 2024, held at Holy Trinity University, Puerto Princesa City on September 21-22, 2024. The event was organized by People’s Empowerment Against Crime Elements in Palawan (PEACE-Palawan) together with 6th Civil Relations Group, KADRE Palawan, JCI Kiao, PIGLAS Palawan, NICA IVB, PTF-ELCAC, WESCOM Defense Press Corps, Mata ng Bayan, PCSD, Lakambini, Kiwanis Club, UMSPPPI, SPOT Philippines, PIO Palawan, Samahang Mangingisda Kontra Korapsyon (SAMAKKO) and other People’s Organization to promote consciousness, inspire collective responsibility, and ultimately contribute to the preservation of our nation’s maritime heritage.
The captivating masterpiece of WPU students (Harry A. Meana, Amelita A. Matuguina, Joseph R. Acejo, Normelyn G. Mendez and Metoshiela P. Reyno) serves as a powerful reminder of the Philippines’ national pride and commitment to protecting the West Philippine Sea.
