Provincial Caravan for the West Philippine Sea (WPS): “Bayanihang Adhikain, Bayaning Aksiyoon Para sa Kanlurang Dagat ng Pilipinas” held at the Audio-Visual Hall, WPU-Puerto Princesa City Campus earlier this morning, May 2, 2024.

Being the host of the activity, our University President, Dr. Amabel S. Liao warmly welcomed the participants. In her speech, she highlighted the tagline of the University as “A Strong Partner for Sustainable Development”. She also mentioned that the university wholeheartedly accepted the challenge of being a valuable partner in charting the plans and goals for the West Philippine Sea.

Prominent individuals present in the activity were officials of the Department of Interior and Local Government under the Leadership of Secretary Benjamin C. Abalos Jr., Undersecretary Marlo L. Iringan, Assistant Secretary Lilian M. de Leon, and Assistant Secretary Elizabeth N. Lopez de Leon, RD Karl Rimando and PD Vergilio Tagle, Hon. Victorino Dennis M. Socrates, Governor of the Province of Palawan, and Hon. Ryan Maminta, representative of the Provincial Board. Also present in the activity were Atty. Arnel Pedrosa, representing the City Mayor, and Municipal Mayors from the 23 Municipalities of the province of Palawan.
