Seven Civil Engineering faculty members attended the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) 23rd Regions IV-A and IV-B Technical Conference (23rd RTC) at the NCCC Convention Hall in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, with the theme, “Building Global Partnerships, Bridging Boundaries, and Fostering New Technologies Towards A Resilient and Sustainable Development” from April 11 to April 12, 2024.



This event was attended by 512 delegates from Regions IV-A and IV-B, which include key stakeholders, experts, and practitioners in the field of civil engineering. The 2-day technical conference discussed topics related to the seven specialty divisions of PICE, namely: Project Management and Construction Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental & Energy Engineering, and Civil Engineering Education. Aside from these topics, Professional Ethics, Gender and Development in Infrastructure, Civil Engineering Specialization and Career Progression & Specialization Program, Disaster Risk Reduction Management Law, and the PICE-DRM Program were also tackled.
